When it comes to reusing those coffee grounds, there are a ton of unique and natural ways to help simplify your life. From removing stains to keeping the bugs at bay, coffee grounds offer a chemical free and natural way to make your life healthier and easier as well.  If you can remember, start saving your coffee grounds to see if you can use them in any of the suggested ways above. Instead of throwing out those grounds, but them to good use!

Everyday Uses for Coffee Grounds that can simplify your life

Ah…coffee. The magical juice of adults and parents all over the world.

Much to my disbelief, I recently found out that coffee is actually much more useful than just filling our bodies and minds full of caffeine. If you have some coffee grounds left over from your morning cup of joe, don’t throw it out. Try some of these uses instead!

Compost? Add them to help give your garden nutrients.

Be careful with the ratio of soil to coffee grounds, but if you sprinkle it throughout sparingly, it can help with the overall nitrogen aspect of your soil. Imagine working out in your garden and getting a whiff of coffee from your compost instead of a few of those other undesirable smells?

Coffee ground can help clean those old surface stains.

Less harsh than any of the store-bought cleaners out there, the use of coffee grounds on a wet rag can result in some of your old stains possibly being removed from your countertops. This is partly because it’s a mild abrasive so it helps remove stain manually and not just chemically. Talk about a great way to clean your house without the use of harsh chemicals!

Coffee grounds can make a pretty good body scrub as well.

Giving your body a nice scrub is super easy with the use of coffee grounds. It’s a non-abrasive way to help scrub away some of the dead skin that may be sitting on the surface of your body. You can use it with ease by mixing it with a bit of coconut oil if you want. Make certain to do this in an area that you can clean yourself thoroughly because this coffee grounds body scrub can tend to be a bit messy.

Insects? Use Coffee grounds as a repellant.

Who knew that certain insects don’t like the makeup of coffee? If you haven’t found anything that works to keep the bugs at bay, why not see if coffee grounds will do that trick? All you need to do is sprinkle the old coffee ground around the area that you and your family will be sitting to see if it keeps them away. It’s worth a shot to not have to spray any of those chemicals on your skin!

Coffee grounds can be used to add a great flavor and tenderness to your meat.

Love good meat but always wondering what to flavor it with? Steaks are great to have seasoned in coffee grounds. Not only does it tenderize the meat, but it also gives it a bit of that coffee flavor that we’ve all grown to love and crave.
